Newfoundland Outfitters offer some of the best hunting success rates in all of North America.

These locations has been sold out eight consecutive years. It is important to book early. Book now for 2006. Partner hunting is also available this season.

HUNTING LODGES:
Our hunting lodges are not extremely fancy but they are above average in the Newfoundland outfitting industry.

Ironbound hunting lodge

 

 

They are all new hunting lodges with the exception of Ironbound Lake (shown above) which as been newly renovated. All of our hunting lodges are equipped with the following: hot and cold running water; clean indoor washrooms with showers; separate bedrooms; meat house (if needed) refrigeration; power plant (generator); propane cooking range; comfortable surroundings; and mobile telephone.

PACKAGES INCLUDES:
Helicopter or Float Plane transportation, full course meals prepared by cook, guide service (one on one if requested) license and tax, complete care and transportation of meat and trophy.

POPULATION (BIG GAME):
Newfoundland, with an estimated 150,000 moose has the most dense population in North America. Two of our hunting lodges (Sharon Valley and Ironbound Lake) are located on Newfoundland's south coast. This area is home to the second largest caribou herd on the island and the deep wooded valleys provide shelter for numerous moose and black bear. Another of our hunting lodges is located in Moose Management Area (MMA) 39. This is an area where trophy moose antlers are not a rare sighting.

MEALS:
We have home cooked meals (prepared by cook) with a different assortment every day. Breakfast and dinner are served at the cottage and lunch is packed for you to take hunting. We have a friendly cook who enjoys catering to hunters. While you are hunting, your guide may boil the kettle over open fire.

GUIDES:
We have guides that are well trained in hunting and wilderness expeditions. Each guide will have his own hand held two-way radio to keep in touch with main camp. We take all the necessary precautions to make sure that our hunters are given the best of care and gratitude. All of our hunting is done by foot with one guide for each hunter (if requested). We also provide a master guide with minimum twenty years experience. All our guides work as a team to ensure your success.

TRANSPORTATION:
Our lodges located on Newfoundland's south coast (see map) are approximately 20 miles from the nearest road and transportation is provided mainly by helicopter. However, our newest lodge (Beaver Brook) is located approximately 3 miles from a forest access road and some hunters prefer to walk and hunt as they go. If not transportation will be provided by float plane or A.T.V.
