If you drive to Newfoundland, you will have to take the car ferry in North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Port aux Basque, Newfoundland. From here you take route one (1), the Trans Canada Highway northeast to Burgeo highway (route 480). Take the Burgeo highway south approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles) to Peters Strides. Take the first left in Peters Strides before you cross the bridge and there you will find Ironbound Outfitters base camp.

If you fly to Newfoundland, we prefer you fly to Deer Lake. There are daily flights in and out of Deer Lake to Major centers in Canada such as Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax. We will be at the airport in Deer Lake to meet you and transport you to the base camp.
